In this clip, Nutanix discusses how they are playing a key role in helping customers reduce costs and rehome workloads in the public cloud. Global systems integrators have approached Nutanix to assist in re-homing workloads that are already in the public cloud but may not belong there. Nutanix helps drive down costs by moving these workloads onto Nutanix Cloud clusters on AWS or Azure. The clip further explains three key use cases for Nutanix: cloud adoption, disaster recovery (DR), and on-demand elasticity. With elastic DR, organizations can replicate data to Nutanix Cloud clusters in Amazon or Azure, avoiding the need for an idle secondary data center. On-demand elasticity caters to seasonal workloads, test and dev environments, and financial reporting spikes. Vengopal Pai also mentions the flexibility of using the public cloud as temporary infrastructure when facing supply chain issues, allowing customers to later rehome the applications back to their own data centers.
