This clip discusses the challenges companies faced in finding talent before and after the pandemic. Before the pandemic, the geographic concentration of talent in metropolitan areas made it difficult for companies to find the right employees. However, the pandemic has distributed talent more widely, but the talent shortage still persists.

The CIO's world has changed significantly and compares it to the shift in transportation from ships and horses to airplanes. However, despite this shift, there are still issues to be solved. Companies must adapt to new technologies and embrace digital transformation to stay competitive in the changing landscape.

The ongoing talent war has become a business risk as companies struggle to plan and execute projects without the right people. Despite the wider distribution of talent post-pandemic, there are still 4 million open jobs in the US, indicating that the talent shortage is a significant challenge for businesses.
