Couchbase: Database-as-a-Service

In this clip, Mike Matchett speaks with Scott Anderson of Couchbase to discuss fully-managed databases in multicloud environments -- or database as a service (DBaaS) — which puts the database into a more scalable environment while enabling enterprises to handle new web apps and other use-cases we may want to develop down the road (and even perhaps do disaster recovery into the cloud). We've got to get our databases unlocked from proprietary, monolithic environments that are sitting in our data centers and into some new platforms.
