This Privacy Policy describes how we treat the information we collect when you visit this website, truthinIT.com, and our affiliated websites, including websites promoting our events or content (together, the “websites”). Personal Information Your personal information and the contents of all of your online communications on or through the website may be accessed and monitored as necessary to operate the websites and provide our services and content. When you use the websites, we may collect the following types of information from you: contact information, demographic and profile information, and survey responses. In addition, if you correspond with us by e-mail, we may retain the content of your e-mail messages, your e-mail address, and our responses. You should be aware that when you voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information (for example, your username or e-mail address) via comments, messages, postings, or in other public areas of the websites, that information can be collected and used by third parties and may result in unsolicited messages from other posters or third parties. XConnect and Data Handling with Zoom Truth in IT offers XConnect, an integration that allows users to connect their Zoom webinars with the Truth in IT Webinar Directory. When users choose to connect their Zoom accounts through XConnect, the following data handling policies apply:

Data Retention: XConnect retains webinar listing data (title, description, date, time, duration) for a period of 12 months. If a webinar host remains an active client of Truth in IT, their webinar listings may persist beyond this period. If a host chooses to discontinue their listing, their webinar data will be removed. Hosts can also request removal of their listings at any time by contacting us via email or individual request. XConnect does not retain Zoom participant data, chat logs, or recordings.
Sponsor Privacy Policies & Registration Data Sharing When you register for a webinar through Truth in IT, your registration details (name, email, job title, company, etc.) may be shared with the sponsor hosting the webinar. Sponsors manage webinars through their own Zoom accounts and may send you confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications. If required by the sponsor, their privacy policy will be displayed at the time of registration so that you may review how your data will be handled.
Truth in IT does not control sponsor privacy policies, and you are encouraged to review the sponsor’s privacy terms before registering. By registering, you agree to receive communications related to the webinar from both Truth in IT and the sponsor. You may opt out at any time following the instructions provided in the communications.

User Control and Disconnection Users may disconnect XConnect at any time via the Truth in IT Webinar Connections section by following these steps:
Upon disconnection, XConnect will immediately stop accessing webinar details, and no further data transmission will occur.
Use of Registration Information When you register for an event on any of the websites, we will add you to our mailing list, and we will share your registration information with the sponsors of the event and other partners and advertisers (collectively, “Sponsors”). BY REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT, YOU EXPRESSLY CONSENT TO RECEIVING PROMOTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS, VIA PHONE AND/OR EMAIL, FROM US AND FROM SPONSORS. You may unsubscribe from our communications at any time, as described below. If you wish to unsubscribe from the Sponsors’ communications, you must contact the Sponsors directly. We are not responsible for the “opt out” policies and practices of the Sponsors.
